In the past few years, steampunk has become a subculture as it has allured a large number of people. Apart from the books and films, steampunk-style gadgets and household items have also been made, which are gaining huge popularity in the recent times. Technology products like laptop and mobile phones etc., and household items like shampoo bottles can be seen in the punk style.

The modern steampunk is most famous in the fashion industry. The steampunk clothes are worn by the people in a large number of themed events. Another aspect of the present day punk is that it is impacted by many other subcultures also. Gothic, Lolita, hippie and some other genres have influenced the punk culture.
